We now have an exciting new website, our old site became unmanageable so we've invested in this great looking new one. You can interact with us easily through our new site using the contact form or the live chat function.

The band had a great end to 2022 after two very quiet years due to the pandemic. We had several Christmas engagements and finished with our very successful concert at Windmill Farm which was very well attended, including our President, Chief Fire Officer Mark Baxter, The Mayor and Sheriff of Lincoln and our recently retired ex Musical Director and Honorary Vice President Brian Newland. James handed the baton over to Brian to conduct one of the bands favourite Christmas pieces, "A Christmas Festival" and it was very emotional for all having Brian back in front of the band again for a short time.

We held our Annual General Meeting a couple of weeks ago and already have a busy year planned ahead. We are currently rehearsing to perform for The Blankney hunt ball where we'll be playing in the huge George Stephenson Hall at Newark Showground. After that we'll be back in the rehearsal room getting ready for our next concert which will be at All Saints Church in Holbeach for their Flower Festival Concert on Sat 29th April, see our events for ticket information if you would like to attend.

We have already started our marching rehearsals on Sundays getting ready for our yearly attendance at Lincolnshire Show in June. This year we are also attending Winterton Show in North Lincs and Heckington Show near Sleaford where we'll be marching and performing.

Last November some of the band travelled to Belgium and joined up with other Fire Service Bands from West Yorkshire, West Midlands and the drum corps from Devon and Somerset to pay our respects and play for the Armistice Day Ceremonies at The Menin Gate in Ypres, we first attended this event in 2019 as the lead band and were honoured to be invited back to take part again last year. Plans are already in motion for us to attend with our fellow Fire Service Bands this year, so we are very much looking forward to this.
